So I am thinking about buying these parts as I have the money, however I do not know if these would work since I got the list from a recommendation from another user. I plan on using this for mostly gaming and working on any school related projects. Would I also be able to upgrade things in the future? What would I need to make sure that I don't mess up building my very first pc? (17YO)

Thanks!

Yes all the parts would work together fine. For gaming, expect play things in the mid range settings at 1080p and it should be alright. School related projects it should work well. It depends on what you would like to upgrade. Also, it depends on the power requirements of whatever upgrade you plan on doing. The Mobo has another ram slot so you could add in another 8gb stick in the future. You wont be able to add in another graphics card. You would have to remove the current GPU and add in a different one since the Mobo doesnt have enough slots. You have 2 sata 6gb/s and 2 3gb/s so thats alright. And just watch out for ESD and you should be good to go.

I have ordered an Anti-Static wrist band but I have another concern that is on my mind. My whole house has rug floors and I am going to use a wooden desk to build the pc; If the desk is on a rug floor would it also cause any ESD to the parts? Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Precautions that I could do to ensure a bit less of a chance? Thanks for answering the other question too!

Well, wood is non-conductive so you're good. And I wouldn't suggest just building on your desk anyways. Always keep a platform to put your parts on like your mobo box or your case on the standoffs. If you want to do a post, use your motherboard box. Personally, I didn't do a post but i feel like its a good idea. If you're very worried, keep anything that's risky like motherboard and gpu in an esd protection bag however with a bracelet and a wooden desk you're probably good.
