Hi all,

I'm planning to build a PC between now-ish(July 2016) and September. I have done my homework and I think I've got it down pat, but I'd like an extra set of eyes. I'm pretty firm on a few parts here, but not officially invested into any of them. My main parts I'm looking for advice on is the MOBO, SSD, cooler, and case. I'm debating between the 780t and the Be Quiet Dark Base 900.

Feel free to chip on any of the build. Thanks.

I think this looks like a pretty awesome build. Overall, I'd say you could definitely shave off some money in a few places, but you don't really strike me as a guy building a budget pc, haha.

I'd say you definitely chose the right components if you're looking to pay top dollar for top products, I do agree the 6800k x99 combo would be better than the 6700k, but not really worth the extra money in my opinion, the 6700k is way overkill for gaming and will be relevant for a good while. The rest of the parts are good high quality choices, and you obviously can't go wrong with the 1080.
3100 dollars and you walk away with a quad core? You spend 700 on a cpu/mobi combo when you could get more performance for slightly more money in a x99 board and like a 6800k.

I don't think this build is serious though. So many small things that don't add up.

Hmm, I'm pretty serious. I'm not sure what you're on about. Also, keep in mind that build is 3100$ because of a $1300 monitor mostly...

Thanks for your response! Yeah, I can see how the X99/6800K is better, but that would be an extra $300 easy. I shall continue to investigate though. Mostly the reason I strayed away from the X99 platform is because of the shaky x99 MOBO reviews. They seem to be having issues.
