I am about to build my very first gaming PC. Just wanna make sure it's compatible and wether you have any better ideas.

specs:

Case: NZXT SOURCE 340 Midi Tower
PSU: AeroCool Strike-X Gamer ATX 600 watts
Motherboard: MSI 970A Krait Edition
CPU: AMD FX 8350 4,0 GHz
CPU-cooler: ARCTIC Freezer 13 CO
GPU: SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 480 Nitro
RAM: HyperX Fury 8GB
HDD: 2.5 inch 750gb from my laptop
SSD: SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB

budget is 590 pounds, 760 pounds max. note that I have already purchased CPU, PSU and MB.

bought them super cheap but used so I could only resell them which would be kind of a pain

Nice but.....
Go for 16GB of RAM if you can and 2x8GB at that. Make sure it's 1866MHz or better.
750W PSU would be desirable, despite all the hype about Rx48' it can still pull better than 150W in some circumstances and you might decide to add another GPU i a while. DirectX 12 promises to enable better CF handling for multiple GPUs.

The FX-8350 is on a dead socket, it runs hot and its performance is nothing to write home about. The AeroCool PSU is of low quality and not befitting of a gaming PC. It certainly isn't suitable for overclocking either. The 2.5" HDD you currently have is most likely a slow 5400rpm drive which isn't very good for gaming.

If you can sell those parts and get the build above, I strongly recommend you do so.

I've never understood why people so often ask for compatibility/quality advice *after* making the purchase decisions.

If you can resell them, that would be my preferred option. BRM's build above is excellent on all counts for the money. If you can't resell the parts easily and have to go with the FX-8350, it's not the worst processor in the world, just a meh choice for a gaming build in 2016.

Unlike the CPU, however, the PSU isn't just less than ideal, it's downright lousy - I would not put that it any gaming rig I built. If you can't return it, your best option is to eat the cost. It's a small step up from the sorriest of PSU horrors, but it's still one of the lousy Andyson-made ones that has lower quality capacitors and poor ripple suppression.

Alright I will give my very best selling these items. I will most likely lose money there. But alright if I spend that much money anyways I don't want to regret anything in a month. Thanks for looking up the parts for me I appreciate it!

That is a good piece of advice and I will but most likely the 1060 is going to be too pricey.
