Hi,
I have been following the forum for the past months and I finally found the courage to build my first PC! But since I'm not an expert, I was hoping you guys could shed some light on what components to get.

This is what I managed to comply:
CPU: 3.4GHz Intel Core i5 4670K 4-Core Haswell (looking to get a mild overclock right at start - @4.2GHz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz
Hard drive (SSD): 120GB Kingston SSDNow V300
PSU: ?
Cooling: ?

I intend to use 1 monitor at 1920x1080.

Now, do you guys have any comments on how this build would work out for me? Any ideas on how to improve it or what to change?
Would this be great to play games such as Skyrim and alike, in the near future?

Thanks!

For the PSU, you would need something that is either 600w or 650w, like the CX600M. Unless you want to make your build look good, you wouldn't need liquid cooling, but would probably want a aftermarket cooler, as the Intel included cooler would be no good. Apart from that, it all looks good

you can start modifying this template :) good luck

Solution
For mild overclocking , let's say 4.0-4.3 you may go for CPU cooler like CM Hyper 212 evo
Better go with Asus Motherboard, they are the best, in my opinion
You don't need 16gb of ram, may as well go with 8gb
For SSD, Samsung 840 Pro is the best
For future proof PSU go for XFX, Seasonic or Corsair 700-750w range.

SUGGESTION:
Don't get the i5, Broadwell might be on a different socket so if you get the i5, you'll be stuck with it (or some slightly better rebranded cpu).
Depends on you but I wouldn't get the 1866 ram, because: You don't really need it. 1600 is GOOD ENOUGH and much cheaper.

I'd suggest getting the R9 280X, here's why: cheaper than the GTX 770, unless you're buying a 120hz monitor, the R9 280X is already getting 100 fps in games. You don't really need more than 60 fps if you're playing with a 60hz monitor. And did I tell you that it's cheaper than the 770?

PROS: Cheaper, free games with AMD
CONS: Amd has been infamous for making bad drivers in the past, may not be the case now though. Nvidia has been known for better features but expensive GPUs.
