Question PC can boot to bios but fails to boot to windows, seems to be missing boot media.

As title says, when I turn my PC on I can go to bios with del or boot options with f11 but if it tries to proceed to windows I get a blank screen, numlock/capslock not causing a light on keyboard. If I select my drive where I installed windows I get the boot media not installed, press any key to restart screen. If I manage to launch windows into the recovery environment none of the options work, even resetting the pc (I don’t currently have a usb with windows on, the local and wifi windows install both don’t work.). Do I just need to do a fresh install of windows from a usb? My hdd is sometimes not picked up by the pc (windows should be on ssd) so could that indicate another issue?

Try unplugging all unnecessary peripherals (including your hard drives) and try booting with just a monitor, boot drive, and mouse and keyboard plugged in.
