PC can't find new ssd (970 evo 500gb)

I have an issue with the samsung 970 evo 500gb. I can't find it or enable it in device manager or in the bios settings. I installed it recently. I am currently using a 1TB SSHD. I'm currently trying to fix it but am facing a few issues. I have tried installing the samsung driver and wizard but it says it cannot detect it. The computer will often crash when booting off the sshd. Any advice would be appreciated. Pc specs are listed below.

- Intel core i7 6700
-Gigabyte gtx 960
-Ripjaw 8 gb 2 x 4
-GA-B150M-D3H motherboard.
