PC case made entirely of plastic?

Can a PC Case be made entirely of plastic? I'm curious if I could make my own computer case from scratch using plastic

Why not?

You can test a motherboard and components outside of a case on a table.

There are acrylic cases you can buy, or at least used to be able to find. I've also seen people build them out of legos.
