PC Components compatibility

Hello! I am currently planning to upgrade some of my parts on my PC and I ran into a little trouble. As of now, I have the Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866 MHz ram sticks and I wasn't too sure if it was going to be compatible with the Intel i5 6600k. I am also planning to pick up the ASUS Z170-P and I'm pretty sure that that motherboard supports DDR3 memory. The i5 6600k says it supports DDR3L and I wasn't sure if that was the same as the normal DDR3. You guys mind helping me out? (I may be stupid and find out that processors don't matter with ram. I guess I have to find out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

DDR3L just means it can also support lower voltage modules.
