My pc is four years old and has always worked fine. Recently it crashed suddenly with a split second grey screen before shutting down. When I tried to turn it back on it started fine with 1 short beep but it had no display.
I've tested the monitor and cable, both work fine. I've tried reseating everything but still no display. I used a VGA cable from the motherboard to the monitor instead and had no luck. I also tried removing my GPU and using my motherboard instead but I got a 1long 2short beep from doing this. All the fans are spinning and the pc seems to be working normally but just with no display.
Any advice would be great before I go buying replacement parts as I'm a bit of a novice, and I don't know what needs replacing.
