Hi, I've recently got a new motherboard and was installing it today to replace my old one. However after everything was finished I pressed the power button but after just 1 second it shut down immediatley. The debug LED's on the motherboard say that the cpu isn't detected or failed. I'm pretty sure it's installed correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CPU: i7 7700K
Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
GPU: Gtx 1050 ti
PSU: Corsair RM750x

Your CPU is 7th generation. The motherboard you bought is for 8th and 9th generation. You bought the wrong board. You need a Z270 board.
