Hi guys,

From the past couple of days my PC started crashing only while launching games.Just after the loading screen, the moment the game starts or when the main menu screen comes up for games like divinity, pc just crashes. Now the weird thing is my cpu seems on, there are light on my kerboard and mouse but nothing in the screen. It seems like my pc is in the moment when the system restarts there is that small delay of rebooting but it is in that state until I manually restart it.
My specs are:
Processor : Intel COre i5 - 2310 @2.90Ghz 2.90 Ghz (4yrs old)
RAM : 8.00 GB (new)
Graphics : Geforce GTX 750 ti (4 yrs old)
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate
PSU : Zebronics 450W (4 yrs old)

The issue is only while launching a game.I also tried Heaven Benchmark by Unigine and that also causes the pc to crash just after the loading screen and the moment it starts.
I am however able to view 4K videos without any issues.
How do I know if this is a graphics card issue or processor or RAM or PSU?
Please help guys.
One more thing to note is when playing 4k videos my CPU temperature reaches 200F and stays there constantly. But my PC doesnt crash.
Normal CPU temp is at 130F - 150F during idle times or on normal browsing.

Solution
Preferred PSUs are Seasonic Focus, EVGA Supernova G2 or G3, Corsair CX or TX in gold.

As Electro stated, your CPU and GPU work in low power saving mode most of the time. As soon as you start a game, they shoot up to high speed which causes an increased power draw from your PSU. As your PSU gets older the capacitors give out and it can produce less wattage. Better models use better capacitors among other things. They typically have longer warranties as well.

Thanks for the reply. Could you suggest one pls.
But my question is how can a PSU cause a problem only while launching games and benchmarks?
i am noob. pls excuse if this is dumb question.

So the PSU provides power to everything.
When you load something up, it requires more power, and generally the output of the PSU is not up to standards.
So when the computer puts more power to the GPU, the computer itself gets less power and causes it to switch off.

Any PSU over £60 and 550W would be a good contender, but people have their preferences.
