Hello,
So i just assembled my pc :
i7 3770k stock @ 1.068v
8gb ddr3 1600
ecs z77h2 a2x deluxe v2.0
cm nepton 240m
Once i go in the bios , about a minute later my pc will crash and can only be rebooted if i completly cut power to it ( turning of my psu for about 20 seconds ).
I was wondering where this comes from ? My temps seem fine . The only thing i am concerned about is the small heatsink on the chipset that seems to get very hot .
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated .

I unpluged all drives to reduce the amount of possible failures . The bios seem fine until the crash , except the board cant seem to remember the time/date , whatever battery i use .I have a small cpu fan for a p3 i can maybe use on it .

Did you move the jumper back to pins 1-2 and load the defaults?

From the manual:
http://download.ecs.com.tw/dlfileecs/manual/mb/Z77H2-A2X%20Deluxe/Z77H2-A2X%20Deluxe.pdf

To avoid the system instability after clearing CMOS, we recommend users
to enter the main BIOS setting page to “Load Default Settings” and then
“Save and Exit Setup”.

(Change the clock time before the 'Save and Exit Setup bit')

Also, check the battery (CR2032?) contacts. Don't use an alkaline, look for a lithium. Dollar store ones are fine.

Good Luck

I put the jumper back and everything seems to be working fine now, thanks!
