[SOLVED] PC crashing in Sea of Thieves, but not in other games ?

When i play Sea of Thieves, I can play for an hour or 2, and then my computer just crashes. No BSOD, just black screen and then restarting. It's only in SoT this happens. I can play Cyberpunk or other high demand games with no issue.
In eventlog I get the Kernel 41 (63) error.
Specs:
i7-9700K
RTX 3080
16 GB RAM
750W PSU

Typically, restarts like that point to a PSU issue. What make/model is yours? The event log also points to a PSU issue.

I personally don’t think that is sufficient quality for a 3000 series gpu. It’s a mid level psu and 3000 series are showing they need a top quality psu.

It's just weird that it only crashes in Sea of Thieves, and not in other games

I'd agree with sizzling here. The RTX series have some funky issues with older PSU's.

It also happened before I got my 3080. I had a 1080, and the only game that crashed my PC then was Need for Speed Heat. But yeah, maybe I should get a better PSU

It is a bit odd that only a specific game or two are impacted. But, it does point to the PSU being the culprit. Whilst the CX PSU isn't the worst, it's not a great PSU for newer systems/components.
