PC crashing / turning off when playing games

Just as the title says my pc will crash when ever i try to play games, i sometimes get a whea uncorrectable error blue screen or it just turining off suddenly.
so far i have updated my graphics card drivers and have checked my temperatures and my gpu reached 68c and cpu reached 58c when the crash happened, here are my system specs.
CPU- FX 9590
GPU- R9 280X
RAM-2*4GB DDR3 1600HZ
1TB SSD CRUCIAL
H100IGTX CPU COOLER
PSU-CX850M
Motherboard-Crosshair v formula z

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1| have you made sure you're on the latest BIOS on your motherboard?
2| Since when has this issue been happening to you?
3| How long have you had the machine?
4| How old is the PSU?
5| Can you see how hot the heatsink on the VRM's are? I suspect the board's thermally protecting itself.
