Hi I have recently built a new AMD computer.

When I install the RX 5700 XT the computer will either freeze during system boot or blue screen in Windows 10.
If I remove the GPU and replace it with my older RX 480 there are no issues.

i though the issues could be a faulty GPU so replaced the card with a new one but I am still getting the same issue when the 5700 XT is installed
I have also tested the 5700 is my Thunderbolt 3 enclosure on a laptop with no issues so it doesn’t appear to be the card alone.

PC Specs
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700X with NZXT M22 water cooler
MOBO: Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO WIKI (Mini-ITX)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT
Boot SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB
RAM: HyperX Predator 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz XMP CL16 (tried with XMP enabled and disabled)
PSU: Corsair SF750 80 Plus Platinum

Ive also tried to boot with a SATA drive with the M2 drive unoccupied

other things I’ve tried are
Reinstalling Windows 10 from scratch newest version (19H1 update)
Installing various versions of Radeon drivers (using DDU)

Does nobody have any suggestions on what I could do to solve this issue?
The only thing I can think causing the issue could be the RAM or MOBO but that doesn’t explain why this build works with the RX 480

Thanks

There does seem to be a issue with the Power Colour 5700XT Red Devils, I too have the same Red Devil 5700XT, Although mine did install ok with drivers it does crash a lot when playing games forcing PC restarts etc but not blue screens. And like yourself I put my old Strix RX480 in and issue is gone, I'm wondering if its because we have the old drivers installed for the RX480, it cant be the PSU because I know 850w is more than enough, Only other common factor is the gigabyte motherboards, the issue could be with them but that's just speculation. Let me know if you get a fix and I'll do like wise

When I didn’t install the motherboard software in windows the crashing stopped when the 5700XT was installed.
I can only assume something in the gigabyte software conflicts with the card.
As for the drivers for the motherboard I downloaded them all separately if windows didn’t pick them up.
