Question PC disconnects from Wifi (please help)

Hello, i have the 802.11ac ASUS Wireless-AC1200 PCI-E Adapter, link

Sense i got it i have had an issue where often, it disconnects me from the internet, but instead of kicking me out of a game it freezes the screen. in which i have to quickly go to the WiFi, disconnect and reconnect quickly and then it starts to work again. However when disconnecting it still says i am connected to the internet, which is why i believe that the adapter is the culprit.

This is the most annoying thing in the world, especially when i am mid-game. I could provide a video if needed.
I really need help im desperate.

How do you know it's your wifi adapter and not something else on your PC ? or like a ddos attack from outside

Could also be that his connection going into the home is bad which results in a change in his modem getting a different IP address.

you could be right . but i assume it's the windows adapter (software) witch resets , a problem many users have with wired adapters too . not the physical adapter itself .

yes i have updated drivers everytime the problem persists, always up to date.

i think its my adapter because nothing else in my house loses connection

Uninstall the software for the adapter and install the adapter in a different PCIe slot then reinstall the software and see if that fixes the issue.

Sorry for the late reply, i was on vacation... The windows troubleshooter found that

1. The default gateway was not available
2. The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken.

I need help fixing theese 2 problems... thanks
