Question PC does nothing

So I had an issue where my pc wouldn't turn on.
Pressing the power button (and shorting the mobo pins) did nothing
The diagnostic LEDs didn't activate at all
The only sign of activity was a brief blue LED flash when I connected power
The LED causing this was hidden under a heat shield so I couldn't check what it meant
Tried onboard reset button, nothing, cleared CMOS, the LED flashed white this time, then subsequently randomly alternated between white and blue when powering the PSU
Tried using Q-Flash and the fans would briefly activate, the CPU diagnostic light would turn on, and 5 seconds later it would shut down (This might be the intended behaviour, I'm not too sure)
Few hours of messing around later I tried to remove the CPU cooler
Definitely wouldn't recommend doing this for anyone else, but I forgot to turn off power when removing the cooler
Midway through the removal (as I was unscrewing the cooler), my pc suddenly started booting
I have no idea why, but the issue seems to be that the cooler was squishing the CPU
Tried re-tightening and it wouldnt start, loosened again, and it worked fine.
I don't know who needs to hear this, seems to be a pretty unique issue, but thought I'd post this in case someone else has a similar situation

Possibly relevant specs?
Mobo: b650m Aorus elite ax
CPU: Ryzen 9 7950x
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
PSU: Corsair HX1500i
Case: Fractal Define 7

Yep, these larger sockets with the right coolers being overtightened can lead to the motherboard itself bending. Causing the CPU to lose contact with the pins. A new problem for AMD since they only recently switched to an LGA socket.

If you can, see if you can get an edge on view of your board and make sure it is relatively straight.

Seemed relatively straight when I was messing around, that was one of the things I did try to check when I realised the cooler was the issue, but I can't get an edge view so cannot confirm 100%

My current plan is to just leave it be and hope for the best XD

It may also help to mention my PC worked completely fine the day before, I've been using this pc for a few months without changing a thing, and I shut it down as normal, went to sleep, and when I woke up, it suddenly and inexplicably just wouldn't do anything, I didn't change anything, didn't move my pc or anything, didn't even touch my pc between shutdown and this issue aside from pressing the power button to turn it on.
