Question Pc doesn't post but motherboard lights come on

I have an Asus B550-F motherboard and I have connected the 24 pin cable, CPU & CPU fan cables, as well as the power button cables and when I turn the power supply on, the motherboard lights come on but nothing else happens.

Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Corsair RM850x PSU
Ryzen 7 3800x
GTX 1070
16GB DDR4 RAM

The pc still doesn't boot after I installed the GPU etc, only the RGB lights on the mobo display, no display on monitor

I have managed to get it to boot by shorting the power connectors and it now shows a setup screen but it does not recognise any keyboard inputs, the keyboard lights up and is recognised but the scroll lock light keeps flashing

As you would do when booting the motherboard from outside the case, I can't seem to line the connectors up right so I will do that later but like I said it won't detect any keyboard input but it does recognise it
