I'm having some trouble with the new RAM I purchased for my computer. From what I see it seems to be compatible and yet when I put it in the computer, it does not start. Just turns the lights and the fans on and goes on an infinite restart loop. I can't even get to the BIOS.
When I put the old RAM back in everything seems fine.
Here are the specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
New RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 2X8GB DDR3-1866
Old RAM: Patriot G2 2x4GB DDR3-1333

One of the old sticks doesn't work anymore and that's why I'm changing it. Computer boots with just one of the 4GB sticks.
I tried changing the BIOS settings before putting the new RAM but that doesn't fix the problem.
Tried removing CMOS battery and also tried each of the new sticks separately, still doesn't boot.

Anyone have an idea what the problem could be? Or is the RAM just defective? Would love any help, thanks!

Thanks for the answer! I actually hadn't thought of this so I just did the update and tried them again. No luck, still the same restart loop.
