Play the games you want on the device you want, what's dumb is letting someone elses opinion stop you.
For games that come out on both platforms it doesn't really matter which you use.
I only have a couple of older fighting games on my PC because it's not really my thing, but they look better, load faster, and run smoother on the PC in my limited experience. I have seen a lot of console games with no anti aliasing or not much because they need to maintain frame rates.
To be fair though, I gave up on consoles after my PS3 got old and just became my blu ray player. The few games I played on both were so much better on PC I just dumped the console all together. The load times really annoyed me on the PS3.
