I have a friend who told me getting fighter games like mortal Kombat and street fighter on pc was dumb because they aren’t optomized for the pc. Is this true and if its not do any pros play on pc? I have an xbox and enjoy some fighter games on that so maybe i shoukd just buy them on xbox?

Play the games you want on the device you want, what's dumb is letting someone elses opinion stop you.
For games that come out on both platforms it doesn't really matter which you use.

I only have a couple of older fighting games on my PC because it's not really my thing, but they look better, load faster, and run smoother on the PC in my limited experience. I have seen a lot of console games with no anti aliasing or not much because they need to maintain frame rates.

To be fair though, I gave up on consoles after my PS3 got old and just became my blu ray player. The few games I played on both were so much better on PC I just dumped the console all together. The load times really annoyed me on the PS3.

depends on what he means by optimized. the consoles are optimized to death to get every last drop of performance from the hardware. consoles cannot be upgraded only replaced. limited resources means optimizations are a must in consoles. PCs usually have much more resources available to run the game and often runs better on PC.
my 9 year old 955 black and an hd 7950 run mortal kombat x and dead or alive 5 better than my PS3.
