Ok, here's an overclocking build. The psu is overkill but it was a good price, you'd be fine with less, like 650w

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($279.99 @ Micro Center)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($33.03 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($137.99 @ NCIX US)
Memory: G.Skill Sniper Gaming Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($153.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($128.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB DirectCU II Video Card...
If you are not going to overclock the cpu get the non-k version of the i7 like the 4790. Ditch the cooler if you aren't going to overclock.

Change to a H97 (if not overclocking) or a z97 motherboard from Asus or gigabyte like the z97-a from Asus.

Switch the psu to an xfx, Seasonic, antec or EVGA B2 or G2

Would you like an example build from pcpartpicker.com?

First, if your country is supported, I'd use PCpartpicker, http://pcpartpicker.com/
Second, if you're planning on overclocking, the cpu is great, but you'll want a z97 board. If you're not overclocking, I'd go 4790 (non-k) and h97.
Third, buy a reliable PSU from corsair, seasonic, xfx, antec. like this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-power-supply-hcg520m
Also, if you need to store many large files and whatnot, you might want a 1TB/ 2TB drive for larger storage, to supplement the SSD

Edit 1, 2: wow I said almost the exact same thing as the guy above me. Weird. Also, here. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JmTKNG
Wow I am the same person as plywrlw. I swear I'm not copying him.

That's what I would build. BTW, I'd upgrade to a 770 for $30. Or a 970 for $100. But maybe gaming isn't your main purpose.

Ok, I included a case as an example, plus it's a nice case :)
