Hi,

My motherboard set my ram speeds automatic on 1333 mhz but when i change it to 1600
my pc freezes after start up in few mins. Why ?

PC specs.

H87 g43 gaming (my mobo supports 1600 mhz)

i5 4670

Corsair Vengeance 8 GB DIMM DDR3-1600 CL 9

i need to push the power button to shut down my pc. When i start it back its freez agian after 4 or 5 mins sometimes after 1 min sometimes after 10 min

the timings are good 9-9-9-24

Edit (does the latency make a differince ? my mobo supports the corsair latency with cl 10 my one is the cl 9 latency )

Yes, the timings at 1333 and 1600 will be different. If you are just changing the 1333 setting itself manually to 1600 and not adjusting the other settings, then that could explain the problem.

However, for this model of Corsair memory, the XMP profile settings for both 1333 and 1600 appears to be the same:

Is this the exact same memory you are using?

Solution
Go into BIOS in the advanced or tweaker page, enable XMP and select profile 1, should set the freq to 1600 and the base timings to 9-9-9-24 and DRAM voltage to 1.5, give that a try, if no joy, try updating the BIOS is an update is available - else try raising the DRAM voltage to 1.55
