[SOLVED] Pc freezes after a while, mouse works.

Hi

Ok so my problem, i have a windows 7 realy old laptop (i think it's from 2012?) and one day when i booted it, for a while nothing was really responding, only thing i could do is open files and control panel but everything was slow. After a bit either explorer.exe crashed and then everything stopped responding (couldn't open up ctrl alt delete or ctrl shift esc), or explorer.exe froze and couldn't open task manager again..

I am able to run it in safe mode, I ran antivirus test, defraged disk. Idk what else to do.. I am trying to find a solution without windows reinstall.

You may not want to re-install but the most likely thing to solve this is to replace the hard drive and do a clean setup on that new drive. Chances are the drive is failing.
