[SOLVED] PC freezes after power outage. Don't know how to follow through!

I had a power outage that lasted a split second and I can't figure out why my PC freezes after I log in. Occasionally, I'll get a BSOD with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR and CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT, but most of the time I'll get a cursor loading circle and it'll freeze on the Desktop right after logging in.

• Went into safe mode, everything's working fine.
• Ran a bunch of sfc and dism scans. Everything's normal.
• Did a system restore 3 times, worked on the 3rd time after selecting the oldest restore point. However, after shutting off, Windows will freeze again.

I have no idea what to do after this. I'm suspecting it's more of a software issue than hardware, but I'm open to any opinions at this point.

Was PC on during outage? power surges can damage hardware. Even if it was off, was it plugged in? WIn 10 isn't off by default when shut off, its in a hybrid hibernation. Great for startup, not so good for power surges.

Both of those errors are hardware errors. Both relate to CPU, might not mean it is CPU but we start there.

safe mode working just means it isn't putting as much stress on hardware as normal mode.

They are very odd errors to get if it was just a software error. If it was say windows that didn't work I would expect other BSOD than those 2. Its why I leaned towards checking hardware over software.

I have asked a friend to look at dumps, WHEA errors almost always show same results but the other one might show something.

There is a BIOS update available for your system. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).
