PC freezes/crashes when gaming

Hello, i am currently having a very annoying problem. My pc freezes/crashes while gaming. When this happens the monitors just freeze, the audio cuts out and the mouse/keyboard turns off. When this happens i am forced to shut down the PC by holding down the power button. Sometimes when i turn on the pc again after a crash, the pc crashes instantly. This has been going on for a couple of weeks. I have not overclocked anything in the system.

Things i have tried so far:

- Bought a new power supply (Corsair RM750X)
- Updated BIOS
- Reinstalled graphics/display drivers
- Reinstalled other drivers such as chipset drivers
- Reapplied thermal paste
- Checked temps while gaming. CPU never gets over 60C and usually idels at about 30C. GPU never gets over 75C, and usually idles at about 35-40C. Other temps are fine.

Specs:

- Inno3D gtx 1080 ichill x4
- i7 6700k
- Asus maximus Hero VIII motherboard.
- Corsair vengence ddrr 16GB 3000mhz
- Corsair RM750X
- Windows 10 Pro 64bit
- Monitors: 1x 1440p 144hz, 2x 1080p 60hz (if that even matters)

Edit: I managed to fix the problem. I reset all settings in BIOS to default settings and this seems to have fixed my problem
