Hello, I have this type of problem, when I playing games, usually CS2 and DOTA if I don't minimize game I can play without problems even whole day but when I minimize game with alt+tab or Windows button PC instantly freezes, for like 30s nothing happens , I can still hear discord, in-game voices , sometimes before restart it has voices like 30second happened in 2 second and it's just restarts , when I trun on pc again usually gpu driver is disabled and had to turn it on from device manager.

Have tried already:
  • Reinstall Windows 11
  • Reinstall GPU Driver
  • Bios Update

OS: Windows 11
CPU : I5 - 14600KF
MB: AURUS ELIXE AX Z790
GPU: RX 6700 XT
RAM: Corsair vengeance 32gb
PSU: 750W Gigabyte

PSU: 750W Gigabyte
PSU make and model (or part number) is? Also, how old the PSU is, and was the PSU bought new or used/refurbished?

but when I minmize game with alt+tab or Windows button PC instantly freezes, for like 30s nothing happens , I can still hear discord, in-game voices
Try pressing following combo: Windows Key + Ctrl + Shift + B.

It restarts GPU driver within OS, without you needing to reboot.

Reinstall GPU Driver
Did you use DDU in Safe Mode when uninstalling old GPU drivers?

Since this is advised to do, when reinstalling GPU drivers. DDU will get rid of all lingering GPU drivers.

when I trun on pc again usually gpu driver is disabled and had to turn it on from device manager.
That indicates the fault with the GPU itself.

Try with 2nd, known to work GPU.

psu model is : gigabyte P750GM

PC freezes so I still need to restart pc, anyway it restarts automatically when it's froze.

I uninstalled driver with DDU yes.

idk if it's gpu bcs If i dont minimize game I can play whole day without any fps drops or stuttering. I just dont get what can cause this issue

What is the serial number on your PSU?

Look it from the PSU's label. It is labeled as: SNxxxxxGxxxxxx, where each "x" is specific number.
Or take a pic of the label, upload it to e.g www.imgur.com and share the image here.

This is important, since that defines if you literally have a time bomb at hand or fixed version of the notorious Gigabyte P750GM series.

By any chance, do you play on different reso than your desktop reso is?

Since forcing to switch reso between the game and desktop can cause such issue.

PSU is brand new , dont think it can cause it , bcs it's only freezeing when I minimaze game, in cs2 i have different resoultion than native but in other games like dota2 , apex playing on native and have same issue

PSU is brand new
It may be brand new, but your PSU can be one of the exploding ones. Hence why i asked it's serial number to confirm it.
If it is one of the affected units, you can replace it cost free, since Gigabyte issued global recall for those PSUs.

Recalled product issues aren't something to brush off and continue to use the faulty PSU.

Best to test with 2nd, known to work GPU. This would tell once and for all if issue is with GPU or not.

This problem sounds like a new win 11 thing.

Several suggestions include

Disabling GPU Scheduling:
In Windows 11, you can try disabling hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Change default graphics settings, and turn off "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling".

It seems that this glitch affects some systems and not others with no obvious conclusive setting. The games you mention also have their roots in dx9 which might be something to do with it. Mirror's edge is dx9 and when I switched it to vulkan the alt+tab video subsystem crash resolved - some of your dx9 games might have been updated to native vulkan api support which is an alternative to direct x or open gl. It takes direct x calls and translates them to vulkan which is the api used in linux and can be more efficient giving a slight performance uplift. Some games have it built in so you can choose it on graphics options others you have to get the vulkan thing from github if you want to pursue that.

Or else just try switching the game to dx11 or 12 if it supports it, or even opengl. They don't all have the same support for different apis natively though. Just depends on how much fidgeting you want to do with it. Maybe some of these other googly suggestions will resolve it for you with a minimum of hassle.

Some of it may be individual game design. I had this problem with mirror's edge but I know that it emerged between dx9 and 10 while half life 2 is direct x9 and alt tabs ok it's from a totally different developer. Some are just more standardly compliant than others.

I think maybe some of the more powerful processors can amplify a few of the glitchier implementations too. like mirror's edge is not optimized for 64bit so will seriously hit one core and amp up the power consumption for running. It goes at 200w cpu on a 14900 cpu at 4k with about 72% utilization on one core. While on a smaller zen 2 cpu it goes at 20w ten times less at 1080p.
