So I've tried to render a video with Cuda (GPU) on Sony Vegas and after about 30 seconds it just freezes my computer. I now render videos with my CPU, but it's always at 100 degrees celsius. It's also frozen up when having San Andreas and Photoshop opened up at the same time. I've no clue what's going on with my PC. Here are my specs:

These are my CPU and GPU temps and usage with Teamspeak3, Google Chrome and MSI Afterburner running:

I need some serious help on this please because it just freezes my computer and it's really annoying.

Well by default is is 3.50GHz and when I got this CPU I got a new motherboard and I haven't overclocked it, but I'm looking at the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and it seems to be on 4.2 so I guess it has done it on its own.

Are you running memtest86 through bios? You shouldn't be running it in Windows. Create a memtest86 bootable usb, ensure the usb is the first boot device in bios and restart your computer with the memtest86 USB installed. Your computer should then automatically launch memtest86 when it restarts.

Okay I will do that ASAP.

Ah the dreaded CX series....how many people on here continue to use these power supplies despite well respected forum members like SR-71 Blackbird who is a power supply expert, advising against them.

What i5 do you have? I assume it's the 4690K or 6600k, as they run at 3.5GHZ? That's turbo boost when you see it as 4.2GHZ. When the PC is under load, it ramps up the clock speed to help. I had an old FX6300 that when into Turbo Boost even when it was IDLING....think that CPU might have been faulty. If it is going into Turbo Boost when doing nothing, I'd see you can turn that off in the UEFI and see what happens. If it still happens, you possibly may have a bad CPU. It's not certain, but its something to be considered/

I've changed it to 3.5GHz in the BIOS now, so I'll see what happens.
