Hi there, been directed here by a friend. Basically my issue atm is when i start playing a game of counter strike my pc will freeze typically 5 rounds into a game. My screen just has a frozen image of what i was doing at the time, no black screen or error message comes up. When i try to control, alt delete it does nothing. I am unable to turn off the pc with the start up button so i am forced to turn off with the switch at the back which i know isn't a good idea but i have no other way of turning it off. After i start back up i will come up with either detecting arrays or start windows normally. When the windows starting screen comes up typically it will freeze again or sometimes i get to where the desktop loads then it freezes. Then i have to turn off at the back again and then it has been running games and everything fine for the rest of the night.

Today has been a different story, during my matches it has frozen and then unfrozen 3-4 times.
I have done a mem test which has come back fine. I have checked the temps for things inside the pc which look ok although i have been using my pc with the side taken off and moved it from under my desk and away from the wall just in case. No malware or virus detected. What i have found though is these 2 messages

When i click message details it says 'Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later'

I have just now done a windows update and restarted as directed. When it restarted it came up with a blue screen with lots of writing on and all i saw was 'driver power state faliure'

Not too long ago i had a message come up saying my drivers might be out of date, so i updated them to Crimson Edition 15.12. I think it is from around this time or shortly after this problem started. I am unsure of how to revert them back though. I am at a bit of a loss right now. I am going to attempt to replace the thermal paste in my graphics card soon but otherwise not sure whats happening

Specs are
AMD phenom(tm) II X6 1045T, 2700 Mhz, 6 cores
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon R9 200 series

Sorry if i have not included anything i needed to, any help would be great

That blue screen you got with the error of "drive power state failure" means your operating system is having a driver problem somewhere. I have seen this happen before with Windows Updates actually. Believe it or not, not all of what Microsoft offers you is good for you.

Where I would first start is booting up in Safe Mode and trying a system restore and see what happens there.

I dont have these to hand as they guy who build my pc is being very reluctant to help me at this point, rubbish considering he is a family member. If you could tell me how i can find that out myself i will have a look. I have tried a system restore but its only giving me a restore point for a few days before the current date which is very annoying.

I did that and same issue. New issue just popped up aswell. Opened up YouTube and only that Brower got blue screen and said not to turn off my comp. But to call this toll free number. The guy I talked to said to pay him 100 to have his IT guys reset My comp. Even though I just clean installed win10. There should be no viruses or an thing on my drives. I even fucked up on the clean install and deleted my partitions by accident and had to go through command prompt to create 4 new ones. Then I installed win10 on my new hdd
