[SOLVED] PC Games on 4K TV

Hello All,

I'm having a PC with the below specs :

MSI Ventus RTX 2060 ( non super )

Ryzen 5 2600

16gb Ram DDR4 3000mhz

And I'm planning to buy this TV

My question what is the HDMI connectors type on this TV ? because I know it had 3 HDMI inputs but I can't tell what are their types

My RTX has 1 HDMI V2.0B connector and 3 display ports V1.4 and I want to keep connecting my PC monitor ( which has only HDMI input ) to use it with FPS games while using the TV for movies and non FPS games so how will I achieve that ?

Last question i'm planning to play games at 2K on this TV but i need as many FPS as possible so will I need some sort of special HDMI cables ?

Ive looked through the TV manual for Hdmi version, no luck there for me but they'll have to be atleast v2 for 4k60Hz. Not sure on this but saw in the manual regarding supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz in 1080p, 1440p and 4k. If true, hdmi version could be 2.1. Check the manual and see what you can get from it, was kinda confusing for me.

Regarding your 2nd question, an Displayport to Hdmi cable.

3rd question, any premium Hdmi high speed cable made today will do 1080p 240Hz, 1440p 144Hz and 4k 60Hz. If your TV does indeed have Hdmi 2.1, look at ultra high speed cables as these are guaranteed to handle 4k up to 144Hz.

Keep in mind, Rtx 2060, depending on games, resolution and settings may not give you your intended frame rate.

First of all thank you for your time checking that for me

I guess HDMI 2.0 will do the job for me as I'm not expecting to play with this card at 4K instead I'll play on 2K and watch my content on 4K and I see on the link 2.0 should guarantee 144 fps on 2K and 60 fps on 4K which is more than what I need

Regarding the adapter I also found it and it should work as well

I just have a last question , with RTX 2060 i'm guessing it will work more strongly with 2K in compare to 1080p as also I can lower the anti aliasing because 2K resolution can compensate what anti aliasing will do, am I correct with that ?

2k does not easily scale up to 4K and may look worse than 1080p. 1080p however scales to 4K. You could try NVidua DSR which could render 2k but downscales to 1080p image.

I'm looking to play on native 2K by sitting the TV / game settings to the 2K resolution so what do u think ? maybe I my info is limited regarding that

1080p is technically 2k, 1440p is 2.5k.

2060 should give ok frame rates in 1440p, around 80fps give or take, still good imo. But as said, 1440p may look odd or maybe it might be ok. It's a good television in any case. Lets us know how it goes.

Supposed to be a good TV yes specially that it's a series 7
