PC gaming questions

So i am going to be playing on a new system that i am building purely for gaming (coming from ps3 to pc).

Here are my specs:
Pentium g860
h61 msi mobo
8gb ddr3
hd 7770 oc edition
corsair builder 430 80 plus psu
(i wanted to do a lower end build as my first)

I really wanna play the games assassins creed 3, skrim, diablo 3, minecraft (lol), other good pc games....

on my 720p tv will i have better graphics, fps, enjoyment on my ps3 with games like skyrim and assassins creed 3?
Is my pc even at the low budget i got it at, a better gamer than the ps3?
Will i have a better experience with these specs over the ps3?

What budget are you looking at to build this?

In many games it still may have more potential than a ps3, but it will struggle on others, just because of that CPU. If it is at all possible, step up to at least an i3. 2 cores and no hyperthreading is going to limit you severely at times.

It should play all the games you've mentioned without a breeze. Not sure about AC3, since it's been reported to have buggily bad performance on some system despite system specs, but others, you will for sure be able to play at much better quality than your could on PS3.
