I feel like im at a dead end. I can't play any game on my computer and when i try to it just shuts down and the fans go to max capacity. I just recently got a new PSU (Corsair rm850x) and i just now cleaned my pc and reapplied thermal paste to both the gpu and the cpu. When my pc chrashes my cpu is at 30-45 degress and my gpu is at 50. I've searched every thread and i have come up short. Please i need help i dont know what to do.

Here are my specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Corsair rm850x

You can ask me if you would need more information about my build.

It can remove gpu or audio driver registry keys, files, and folders.
After some time, there's leftovers from older driver registries sitting in your PC. They sometimes cause errors or crashes.
There will definitely be problematic leftovers if you've changed brands - AMD to Nvidia, or vice versa - you'll want to remove the old one completely, and DDU can do that.
It's not necessary to run it every time you're about to update drivers, though.
It's worth a shot before having to try and spend money replacing hardware - as I said earlier, those symptoms sound like hardware.

The screen goes black and the fans revving way up? That can happen when the voltage going to the gpu drops too low, and that can be caused by:
-power supply. Don't know...
Using psu cable extensions?

Any overclocks?

The black screen to fan revving is usually caused by hardware, but give Display Driver Uninstaller a try if you haven't already.
Im not using any PSU cables more than necessary and i dont have anything overclocked. I’ll try Display Driver Uninstaller when i get back home in a week.

What does Display Driver Uninstaller do?

-power supply. Don't know what you had before the RM850X.
-gpu's own VRM showing signs of failure, or it was overheating.
-psu cable extensions. The extra distance yields greater resistance, with leads to further voltage drops.

Solution
Just wanted to throw my experience in the hat here. Powered up my PC this evening and left it sitting on the login screen while I went away and puttered around. I came back a couple of hours later and logged in, booted up steam and all of a sudden the screen went black and the GPU fans went right to 100% instantly.

The only fix was to uninstall the drivers (evga geforce gtx 1080), and leave them uninstalled. When I downloaded the current drivers, I loaded up a game that was really not graphics intensive but after about 10-15 minutes the same thing happened.

In my case, I've been using the same rig for a few years. This problem happened before I tried the new nvidia drivers, and the previous night I was gaming with a friend for a few hours. Just seemed to happen this evening for some reason.
