Hey guys
First off, here's my machine

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz
Motherboard: Z97S Krait
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" OutletPC
Video Card MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 970 4GB Video Card
Case: Antec One ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

So as the title says, I've had some hard resets, and they’ve only occurred during games, and even then not that often.

It first occurred when I was playing through Arkham Knight (probably the game it's done that the most with) and Serious Sam 3 in splitscreen about 2 months ago. I figured it could be related to the drivers and after I updated I stopped having trouble.
More recently, I got AC:Unity off Steam and it would reboot at the menu, strangely enough. Black Ops 3 also reset at the menu, and later I had it reboot once during a pretty graphically intense animation in Just Cause 3. Overall, it's not all that common (with the exception of the AC: Unity menu)
So I've looked through forum posts here on Tom's, and I've reviewed lots of info, but the frustrating part is that there's no definite answer. So far, my understanding is that it's most likely the GPU or the PSU. I've run Furmark for around 10 minutes with no trouble, however, so I'm not as sure.
In any event, I'd like to get some more feedback about it here if possible and see what you guys believe it could be based on what's happening. I've heard lots of criticism for the CX-600 has a PSU for a gaming system lately, so I think I might just go ahead and replace the PSU either way.

Temperatures are all within normal ranges. I even spiked up the GPU's fan to 100% and turned up the CPU fans. It's something like 60 Celsius for the GPU and 40-50 for the CPU. It's a well-ventilated case and the weather now is pretty cold. Not to mention that it's pretty sudden. Sometimes the game will launch and run fine, other times it'll crash on the menu.

It's very likely that the PSU is the issue then, do you have a budget in mind if you need to buy one?

Budget isn't an issue at the moment because I really would like to invest in a better PSU to avoid these issues. Unfortunately the store I use in my country has unloaded every PSU in stock save for an 850W Cooler Master V series and an InWin Commander III which is 800W. They're both unnecessarily powerful for my purposes, so I think for now I'll wait for more stock and maybe get a 700W Cooler Master V series.

A good one I would choose would be the EVGA G2 650w or whichever wattage you would like.
