I built my computer a little while ago and everything was amazing. It was eating frames like a boss for nearly every game. Over the course of its life, I have consistently cleaned and upgraded my components to better fit the increasingly demanding games that each year brings. Recently I wanted to get into games like Death Stranding and a few other demanding titles like Avengers and one of the first things that happened in-game was a crash. That crash was followed by another crash after after letting me progress a little further into the game and it keeps doing that over and over letting me progress further and further but still crashing consistently. I quit that game and chalked it up to game bugs after going through every fix I could find on Reddit. This week I opened my freshly installed Marvel Avengers and right after the intro cutscene boom I crashed. And not just a normal crash my whole computer locked up forcing me to restart. This annoyed me but I tried again and got about 20 minutes in then I crashed again. It still does it all the time letting me get further and further but regardless of whether I'm solo or in a mission with other players I still crash. I'm at a loss for words at this point I don't know what to do to fix the problems that are increasingly evident. I love computer gaming and I'm happy I made the switch to pc but man this makes me just sad and it never happened to me on the console. And when I'm playing a game with a controller the latency would go from near-instant response time to me walking in one direction waiting for the controller to reconnect. I've tried multiple controllers and the phenomenon is mirrored by my headphones as well.

Side notes

-I know it may be because the game being buggy but the same thing happens across any game with decent graphics
-Happens to most vr games aswewell
- I play Avengers on the max settings with the exception of HBAO and AMD Fidelity
-Graphics card is less than a year old
-Psu is less than a year old
- All drivers are up to date and checked on a weekly basis
-All windows updates are installed

Specs

Cpu - Ryzen 7 1800x

Gpu - Rx 5700 xt

Memory - 16 gb DDR4

Storage - 3 TB HDD

- 256 GB SSD

Psu - GAMEMAX 600W Semi Modular 80+ Bronze

Mobo - Asus Crosshair Vi Hero

Wifi/Bluetooth - AC1200 Wifi Bluetooth 4.2 PCIe Adapter

Well crap. So while the PSU was an issue(or would have been soon, it wasn't alone.

They all crash with the DX error? Can you try try the gpu in another system? Possible the old psu's lack of good protections have damaged that card and it may need to be rma'd.

I can't test it on another system at the moment but I have tried out other games with games consistently crashing at least once a day. I had a new crash I haven't had before while playing valheim, the screen froze but the audio kept playing to my Bluetooth headphones then everything went black and there were 4 beeps and after being frozen for 6ish more minutes everything unfroze. Super weird.

Would you please Run the userbenchmark test and post the link to the results?

If I were you, I would remove the Seagate Portable 2TB from the equation as it is portable and can be used as needed.
Connect the Samsung 850 Evo 250GB to a different SATA port and be certain the cables are in good shape. The test shows it as missing. I would watch this 850EVO as it's not really running as the test shows. It still has 12 GB of space left on it but again, keep an eye on this drive.
I would expect crashes from this computer.

P.s. , I forgot to mention that you should go into the BIOS and turn on XMP or AMP whichever way it's qualified on the AMD MB.

I checked my sata cords one is in bad shape and I ordered some new ones I tried playing battlefront 2 and it still crashed constantly.

Side Problem, when I turn my computer on it boots completely before actually turning on. I dont know if this is related but its another problem.

Maybe my motherboard is the problem? I could have pushed something too hard and now I'm feeling the effects or is it the ram?

The gpu is new and I had a similar problem with my previous graphics card too(rx 580}. I've replaced the psu, gpu, bt/wifi card.

I don't overclock at all not even my cpu.

Drivers up to date.

MOBO on latest bios version.

I don't see where you removed the Seagate Portable 2TB from the equation or swapped the ports and know the cables are good.
Until you do these things, you are just guessing

Switch on XMP as stated and try a different port for the SSD, the SSD is still listed as missing
also the SSD is close to full so upgrade to larger capacity or make room. I would consider an large M.2 and clone the 250 GB SSD for the boot drive.
