My friend PC crashes randomly with artifacts when gaming. It happened in 2 games RDR2 and Fortnite. No overclocks have been applied. Anyone have an idea of what might be the problem? His GPU is RX 5700 XT with the latest driver version (20.11.2)

His specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory
Storage: Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card
Power Supply: Gigabyte 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
Monitor: AOC 24G2 23.8" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor

Solution
Heat doesn't look too bad. 85C is okay for a RX 5700 XT under load. That is a factory OCed GPU, underclocking a bit could help.

This could also be a defective GPU. Heat and power should be okay, given the specs of the system, otherwise.
