After bringing my PC home from a friends house and setting it up, it wouldn't boot without showing red bars (Imgur) on the screen when the GPU is outputting video. These red bars are showing up when the Microsoft display adapter is being used, but when the Nvidia driver has been installed, the PC will fail to output video completely.
I've tried:
Replicating this using a different graphics card (GTX 760) - the same thing happened
Using a different PCI-E lane
Using a different graphics card power cord and using a different power plug from the PSU
Checking that the 12v rail is running at a normal voltage, and not fluctuating
Using different ram configurations
Resetting the CMOS
Using a different monitor
Using a different video output
Using a PCI-E riser to run the graphics card off a PCI-E lane which has never been used
It's worth noting that my computer operates perfectly fine when running off the integrated graphics.
Unless it's a faulty motherboard, then i'm absolutely clueless as to what it could be.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
