Hey ppl,
I am in deep sh..t, I was dusting my PC today with a soft painting brush! I took the entire PC apart! seperated the graphics card, lan card, mobo, proc, hs+hsf, RAM, all the drives. I dusted all o them gently wid the brush. Now wen i put em back together, as soon as i plug the power in and switch the mains, the fans start rotating but i am getting no display on the monitor and the system remains in tht state! even if i press the power button for 10 secs the PC doesnt switch off! only wen i disconnect it from mains it does tht! So i thot mabbe sumthing was loose, so i rechk each component-> no joy, still the same thing!!
Then i try again by removing all components except the RAM pand processor! still no response apart from whirring fans!
Plz help me out!

That's normal system behavior for one that has no CPU. Make sure you installed the CPU correctly, and that if your board has the extra 4-pin ATX12v connector, you've connected it to the power supply.

hey i was looking at the extra four pin power connector, i found tht two pins were burnt and the corresponding pins in the mobo were also burnt! My guess is tht the pins are not making contact or tht the power connector is not functioning becoz of the burnt pins! Can tht be the case? if yes then wat all do i need to replace and wat is the xtent of the damage? Also am i in anyway responsible for the f-up?( gotta shout at the PC store dude if he refuses to change it)

put yer nose on the pins and the mobo, you will know in a hurry.
