PC is slow when i use certain applications

Hello

I have a brand new PC - all self build.

My PC Keeps freezing and running very slow (No response) when i use certain applications like Steam. While Downloading a game from Steam i can not use my PC. When i try to open my Browser it will not open, even trying to open the Task Manager seems an impossible task. When i close the Steam client all works fine again. What could be the problem here? My guess is that everything is installed on my 4tb HDD and i should have installed my System to a SSD and Games to an additional HDD.

What 4tb HDD do you have?

I am using a Seagate Barracuda 4Tb HDD.

I just checked and it is at 100% while downloading so basically there is no more room for anything else on this HDD right now. Free Space is still at 3.06 TB.

Are there any drivers that i have to install for this? Or ist it just a bad HDD?
