PC keeps automatically turning on then off after overclocking RAM

I overclocked the ram using XMP because the ram advertised it can run 3000mhz.

After i save and exit the bios my pc keeps turning on and turning off constantly.

Necessary Specs:
Gtx 1080
I5-6500
Seasonic focus plus 550W
16 gb ram
Gigabyte h110-m

The problem might be mobo or powersupply.

If its any of those, is there anyway to reverse the problem without buying anything?

Well your memory may be advertised at 3000mhz but your motherboard wont allow speeds faster than 2400mhz. You would need either a Z170 or Z270 board to run memory at 3000mhz.

You're working with an H110 chipsetted board. You're not going to go beyond DDR4-2133MHz on that platform regardless of what BIOS update you're on. It's a platform limitation. If you want to get to DDR4-3000MHz, you're going to need a Z series chipset with a K suffix processor.

That board supports up to 2400mhz and I don't think you need a k processor just a Z series chipset board

Well if the memory is causing that it's because XMP is enabled, disable it. Then either let it run at whatever speeds the mobo sets by default or manually change speed to 2400mhz and set whatever timings the XMP profile uses manually.

If that doesn't fix it I would clear the CMOS, the process will be in your mobo's manual. This will rest the BIOS to default settings.

If you cant get into the BIOS you need to clear the CMOS. The computer does not need to be on to do that. It should involve moving a jumper to a different set of pins, it will be in your manual. Removing the battery on the motherboard with the sytem unplugged and leaving it out for a few minutes should also clear the CMOS, but it would be better to do it the way the manual recommends.
