Hi folks,
So my PC had a BSOD with something along the lines of "critical system failure" and it could not boot again. It would try to self-diagnose and repair without any success. Initially I was able to run the Windows (10 Pro) in safe-mode but then even that stopped working after I tried to reinstall the GPU drivers.
I tried reinstalling Windows 10 22H2 on the same SSD and everything went fine until I tried to install the GPU drivers again. During the usual "flickering", the PC would crash, restart and the Windows will not start, even in safe-mode. I tried that about 5 times, on both SSDs, the last couple of which were clean installs after format. It got worse each time. I couldn't complete the last installs because it would crash during the region selection screen.
Today I couldn't even do a memtest from a bootable USB because it keeps crashing. It seems unlikely that both SSDs have gone bad at the same time and I bought all components in 2020, besides the PSU and the GPU. I know they're both ancient and I meant to replace them a bit later but the inflation changed the plans. From I've read online, the likely culprit is the PSU?
Just wanted to make sure that it could not be something else before buying stuff. Thanks!
