PC Keeps crashing when playing games!

So the other day I just added a new 7950 from powercolor to my rig. I used to game using integrated graphics and had no problem just low framerates and quality. Now i can play games at high but my pc tends to crash within 5-30 minutes of gameplay. I have tried all games including Orion: Dino Horde, Battlefield 3, Dead Space 2, And Tomb Raider. I use Msi Afterburner to monitor my temps and i tend to get around 65 C when load is around 94-96.the fan speeds are 8-10% higher than celsius degrees. I doubt its my PSU because its 1000 watts and by PC&P. Another thing I have noticed is that there is a faint noise that cuts in and out through the speakers after I installed the card. Usually its a constant sound. Please Help.

for the graphics card I just did a fresh install and im not too sure about the mobo. I remember installing all the drivers way back in august.

Alright i just checked through asrock App Shop and there are no updates to download.

Well if you can rule out your gpu or cpu overheating, you should try a memory test as it could be your RAM.

Don't feel alone. I'm working through heat problems on a HD7950, myself. Working on a liquid cooler. 2 friends of mine have similar problems on their HD7950 machines. But I hear Nvidia cards get 10c hotter. ? I think video cards in general make a lot of heat mostly because of the game programs. It takes a lot of processing power to make large maps. Manufacturers of video cards say they can take up to 96c+. Some newer cards are being made with liquid cooling so I know there is some heat problem.
As for sound, you may be running more than one sound driver. AMD has an audio driver they integrate with the video driver. Windows likes to use Realtek. You may need to go into the Device Manager and turn one off. I had a sound card that had drivers of it's own. One day of updating drivers, I was running 3. Made a weird echo. Hope this helps. By the way, nice rig.

So i disabled the AMD audio drivers but now the sound doesn't play through the built in monitors just through headphones. I tried disabling the onboard sound but the cut in noise still happened so I just enabled it again and disabled AMDs. This was all done through Device Manager, should I try disabling onboard sound through UEFI Bios?

The pc keeps crashing I'll upload a picture of when the memtest crashes. Also just yesterday I was on netflix and the PC crashed as well, Except the audio was still playing through the tv and the screen turned grey.

The pc keeps crashing I'll upload a picture of when the memtest crashes. Also just yesterday I was on netflix and the PC crashed as well, Except the audio was still playing through the tv and the screen turned grey.

But before the memtest crashed, did you get any errors? And try updating ALL the drivers for your pc including audio, then run a virus scan. Definitely post the picture of the memtest crash, and if you have any ram sticks with you, try switching them out to see if yours are defective. Also make sure there is no dust in your computer, fans are plugged in, and keep note of your temps. Are you also certain your power supply is working and not defective?

Go to Start>Control Panel>Sound>Speakers (is it check in green?) If not, click on it and in the bottom left hand corner of the window, check configure. Before going in the bios, do as 'svarlu' mentioned. 'Update ALL the drivers'.

It's a 500watt psu but only has 24amps. For a HD7950, it should have 32amps or more. It died today, and only when the lite went out and we removed it, did we see the information label on the back side. I suppose the psu fan was just growing tired.

I think you're right. He's got great gear so you know he can't be happy. I think we've all been there, done that before, lol.
Some of worst black screens I've seen right out of the hat was the Dell's first i7 XPS mini towers back in late 2008. A combination of components made way too much heat, many crashed and never regained consciousness. The psu was a small 350w, 4800 series Radeon video card and the DX58 chipset were all stove burners. Put them in a mini tower and you have an oven. Dell techs were murdered trying to put out fire on the tech blogs. Maybe that's why they moved some of their tech overseas, lol.
I've seen many ram issue customers complained they just bought, so it was new.. . and bad. Had a few bad RMA video cards the same way (twice bad in a row) and many computers with animal hair, coffee spills, bugs and dust. All crashers. Static shocked my own computers a few times. Broken dim and pcie slots, motherboards with popped caps, bad software even a virus which made it's way into the bios program (how it got there I'll never know) (Avast! boot scan found). The winner was my boss who kicked the bench computer to death. He also bought one the best things I've seen. A hardware diagnosis/test kit by PCdoctor. I gotta get me one.

Oh man, you've seen a lot haha. Luckily I've only had one system that crashed and died and it was due to a defective psu. Hopefully op's gear isn't damaged and he got it sorted out.
