Hello everyone,
I posted another thread a couple days ago regarding my USB 3.0 ports that stopped working randomly. The issue wasn't solved and I'd count the thread as pretty much dead at this point. So I decided to purchase a USB 3.0 to PCIE expansion card and plug it in. It works great except the only downside that came with plugging in the card is that when I shutdown my PC it will shutdown completely and immediately boot back up. I did get it to shutdown completely once when I unplugged any USB devices from the card and uncheck the option for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". However, I enabled that option again and tried playing around with other settings and have not had any success since then with anything else.
So far I have tried installing the driver for the card.
I have uncheck the option for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
Unchecked "Allow this device to wake computer" on mouse.
Checked BIOS for any options that could disable the wake on USB but there is none.
Not sure what other options there are that I could try to get this issue resolved. Any advice is appreciated.
PC Specifications:
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
AMD FX-6300
GTX 1050Ti
EVGA 600B1
WD 3.5" 500GB 5400 RPM
WD 3.5" 500GB 5400 RPM
Crucial MX500 500GB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD
Rosewill RC-508 4 Port USB 3.0 to PCIE Expansion Card
