PC Keeps Restarting Randomly

Hi all!

My PC keeps restarting randomly. It has mostly been while gaming, and I've experienced it once on the desktop. I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. I have the CPU at 4.2 ghz and a 0.15 voltage offset (I know that's too much voltage). The GPU is not overclocked, but I did try to overclock, and ended up deleting the overclocking program because I could not boot (OCed too much). The program that was used is Asus GPU Tweak II. I'd bench it, might be shorting out

Also migh see if you can borrow a different PSU from friends or co-workers - anothe possible if to reinstall the OS

I think I'll wait till this weekend to try benching it. I'm too busy during the week to do that. As for the PSU, would it be possible to buy a cheap, reliable one and return it when I'm done testing? If so, do you have any recommendations? Reinstalling the OS will probably be last resort.

Check the return policy where ever you buy, many will accept returns, and yeah, that's why I put the reinstall last, it's always a pain

I have it running outside the case and it was working fine for an hour or so. It just shut off again. Next step?

Have you run the Win system file checker? Go to command prompt as Admin and run the command SFC /SCANNOW

Been rendering a video in 4K 60 fps and so far it hasn't restarted. I have about 50 minutes left and about 1 hour and 10 minutes has passed. I'm wondering if the problem is actually the PSU?

I'm 99% sure the problem is the power supply. The computer still has yet to restart. The question is, what should I do now?

Download AIDA64 Extreme, stress test the CPU, FPU, Cache, System Memory and GPU (everything except for Local Disk) for ten minutes. If nothing goes wrong, problem is likely solved.

Problem is solved. Now I have to RMA my old PSU. Will update on that as well.
