Recently I've started to become concerned with constant lag spikes and crashes. I first noticed it when Player Unknown Battlegrounds just stopped working a couple months back: when I start a game, the furthest I can get is jumping out of the plane, and then it just crashes. I get slight stuttering in most games actually, such as small games like garry's mod as well as more demanding games. Even everyday software lags, Chrome being the worst. It just straight up crashes for like a minute when I switch tabs sometimes. I've even tried switching browsers which didn't work. Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop also occasionally act up too, and I don't do anything ridiculously demanding, especially for my computer. Adobe Premiere is the worst though, when I use the media browser it just crashes my whole PC, but when that happens its using most of my CPU, where as in the other instances that's not the case. However it lags when I'm editing 1080p video. Even if I'm at like 8% CPU and 40% RAM usage my PC still lags. I've ran malwarebytes and nothing was wrong. Spotify is also quite laggy but I've always had that even on my phone. I get like 40 degrees at idle with my GPU, my CPU gets 84 degrees max at 100% usage, but its not overclocked, and I have a Be Quiet BK019 Dark Rock Pro 3, so its a little concerning. I bought the cooler because of past cooling issues, and yes, I know, I need to overclock my CPU, but I want to fix my PC first. I've made sure twice that it was installed correctly. That being said it only spikes at 84 degrees at the start of the test, and thats only core 0, the rest are much lower. I did get a random BSOD a couple of weeks back: "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA". That being said its only happened then and no other time. I did run a memtest after this happened and it seemed there were no errors, although I didn't run it for ages, only an hour or so. All my drivers are up to date. I should also point out that I have a 21:9 monitor which perhaps could cause problems in games, but even still it shouldn't cause problems in everyday software. Furthermore, apps that I pretty much always have on are Discord, Spotify and Steam. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
