Question Pc lags for no apparent reasons when playing games

when i play some games say fh5 fortnite minecraft it works fine but my desktop doesnt everthing starts lagging and becomes very laggy and slow in input.

i dont have low end specs

r5 3600 rtx 3600 16 gb of ram (@3200 mhs)

if anyone has any idea of what may be wrong please help me

When your desktop starts lagging open the task manager and see what programs are running in background that you may not be aware of. Also look for any program that is using excessive memory. Sometimes systems/programs/games update themselves and you may not be aware this is happening. Let me know if you find anything. Also what resolution and refresh rate is your monitor?

i will do that
my main screen is 1920x1080 144hz and my second display is 1920x1080 75 hz

hey im back didnt get any lag untill now but i have taken a look at task ameneger but the only thing that was using alot of memory was fh5 using 6000 mb but the next highest got a peak at 900 mb i have a vid if u want it. so im not sure if it is sothing hiding or just alot of progams taking 1-100 mb but im not sure (cpu is about 20-50 witch ahs been normal since before the lag)
