Alright guys, Ive exacerbated all means of trying to troubleshoot this PC issue and I need some help. Ill have my build details below, however this is the issue Im having. We play
Rainbow Six Siege pretty regularly and after playing a week ago, my entire PC just froze. Theres
no amount of Ctl, Alt, Del that can get it to respond. Sound, cursor...nothing will respond and the screen is stuck on a frozen picture of the events on the game. I run Afterburner to try to see if there is any issue with the temps etc. and have found the GPU temps to be 64, 66, 62 degrees celcius on 3 different freezes. The freezups may happen at 3 hours of gameplay and may happen at 10 minutes of gameplay. The CPU temps have never peaked 70 degrees Celcius. The only way for any productivity with the PC is to hard reset by holding the power button. I may of left out some
details which i will try to address if any come to mind. Below i will explain the things ive tried.
So initially after some research, I thought it may of been a RAM issue. A friend of mine brought his RAM over (TEAM t-force 3000 16gb) and we swapped it out for mine. PC still froze. So then we moved to the GPU, swapped it out for his (GTX 1080 mini) and it still froze. We went through and updated the system and all of the drivers for the components and it still froze, however this time it froze with a blue screen with an error code "memory management". This is the only time this blue screen has come up in 20 or so freezes. However usually when the blue screen comes up it loads information to Windows to send an error report but its like the blue screen came up reading the "memory management" error and then froze on that blue screen. We thought maybe it is coming from a corrupt file in the Rainbow Six game itself being that i purchased the game from G2A and he purchased through Steam. We let him download Rainbow through Steam and it still froze. At this point were thinking some kind of settings within the management of the PC itself. We go into BIOS and notice some RAM management settings that seem to be set to a figure itself rather than auto. We set everything back to auto yesterday. After playing Rainbow last night for around 3 hours (thinking the problem may of been fixed) it froze. 😡 GPU temp: 66C CPU temp: 63C.
Details of PC below:
Ryzen 5 1600
ASUS B350 f strix
GIGABYTE GTX 1080
16gb 3000mHz Corsair lpx DDR4
1TB HDD
120 Corsair force series MP500 M.2
EVGA supernova 750v G3 PSU
If there is anything else needed, ill be more than happy to get it. Thanks again for any help recieved.
