Might be asking this prematurely but just in case I'd rather ask instead of doing something i don't need to. I was just running Fallout 4 and looked up to see that there was no signal to my TV until I Alt - F4'd the game. This is the second time this has happened in a couple weeks (with a different game) with me chalking up the first to it possibly being a driver issue since i think i had updated recently before that.

I figured I would ask more experienced folks so...
Current build:
CPU: Intel Core i5-12600K
Motherboard: MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
Video Card: XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 6600 8 GB Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair CX650M (2021) 650 W 80+ Bronze
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM - DVD 64-bit

+GPU driver AMD 24.6.1
Bios and similar are about a year old
Currently I haven't done much more than reinstall my current graphics driver

Take a look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.

Either one or both tools may have captured some error code, warning, or even an informational event just before or at the time the PC lost the signal to the TV during game play.

Try swapping in another known working video cable between PC and TV.

Try swapping in another known working TV or monitor.

Test the cable and TV on another known working computer.

The objective being to narrow down potential culprits.

Either directly or by elimination.

with it not being a consistent error(yet?) some of those may not work. reliability history didn't show anything around that time but game DVR appcrash. When it comes to even viewer, would it list this incident as an error? looking around the time that it happened today, i do see something straight up listed as an error and windows error reporting in two nearby. Not sure if these have anything to do with it 3 events ?

The "3 events" link is a download.

As a matter of general practice and caution I do not download files.

Instead take some screen shots of the relevant Reliabiity History/Monitor and Event Viewer screens.

Post the screen shots here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

Reliability History/Monitor is much more end user friendly and the timeline format may reveal patterns.

Event Viewer requires more time to navigate and understand.

To help with Event Viewer:

How To - How to use Windows 10 Event Viewer | Tom's Hardware Forum (tomshardware.com)

Event Viewer presents a great deal of information in a variety of ways.

Take a closer look at that "game DVR appcrash" - the details, error codes, etc. may or may not be helpful.
