I know that this thread doesnt belong here but this is the best place i could find for it.
So while i play Fallout 4,Witcher 3 and some other games i often need to check speedfan
and optimize the fan speed so that my GPU doesnt die.
For some reason when i set it to auto fan speed it doesnt change it.
So is there an app with which i can link my PC to my tablet/phone and change the fan speed, see
the GPU/CPU temp and all that?

Solution
No problem. The OSD is turned off by default. You need to go into the settings and go to the Monitoring tab. All the items that are monitored in the application itself will have checkmarks next to them. This only enables the monitoring in Afterburner for it's graphs. If you want them to display in the OSD, you need to select the item you want to show in the OSD (from the list at the top and it needs a checkmark next to it) and look down and you'll see Show in On-Screen Display, put a checkmark in that box. Do this for each thing you want to show in the OSD. For instance I show GPU Usage, GPU temp, GPU core clock, Fan Speed (of graphics card), memory clock, memory usage, framerate, CPU Temp, CPU Usage, and GPU Voltage. These are...
Have you tried MSI Afterburner? There is a part of Afterburner known as RTSS (RivaTuner Statistics Server) which gives you a OSD (OnScreen Display) while gaming. You can display practically everything about the GPU, and you can show CPU usage and temperature. Even better, you can set a custom fan profile with Afterburner to your specifications. Beyond that, I think there is an Android app that you can link with it.

Thanks alot,i have used MSI Afterburner before but i didnt know it can show the stats on screen while i play games.
Thank you

These are the things I like to see, you may want some other things, or fewer, who knows. Once you enable at least one item for the OSD, you'll see another icon in the System Tray, it's a little monitor icon with purple 60 on it. This is RTSS, and it can be configured too. You can tell it the location you want the OSD to display as well as what color you want the OSD to output to the screen. There is a lot more that can be configured, but that's the most common things. There is a framerate cap there too if you so wish.

One caveat to the OSD, it doesn't work with Vulkan yet, and I'm not sure about DX12 games either. It does work for DX11 and earlier and OpenGL. It may take some time to code the hooks needed for the OSD to work in DX12 and Vulkan.

Solution

I was just going to set the OSD up but when i went to enable it there wasnt a option for it,there were only options for
show in logitech keyboard and show in tray icon.
Any idea why?

I installed Afterburner again and now i have the option.
Thanks
