Hey guys,
I'm getting pretty desperate so i'm asking for help. I overclocked my CPU and the computer booted fine, ran occt and prime95 without any problem for a couple of minutes, then shut down the computer. When powered it on again, it didnt post. And it still doesnt. I tried resetting CMOS (removing battery + with the jumper), switching ram modules, but without result... It powers on, with all fans working and my aio watercooling too, but no post...
My specs:
Asus P5Q Deluxe
Intel Q9550 2.83GHz -> overclock to 3.86GHz
2x 2gb G.skill Pi ddr2 1066
GTX760
Silver Power 600W psu
Please help me guys...
Thanks in advance

Did you jump the cmos with the battery in? Need to unplug psu before doing so battery needs to be in to use cmos reset hold short for at least 5 seconds or well that's what I do. I ran into same situation yesterday she's running again now

Solution
Hello,

I had this problem a while back after trying to OC my FX6300 up to 4.8Ghz on an MSI motherboard, it turned out that the motherboard had died, so if there is any way I would suggest trying to test the PSU, Motherboard and GPU if those two do not work for you.

I hope this helped, if you need any more answers or if this did not work, feel free to call upon me at any time that you have a problem!

Thanks,
Simon

Thanks guys, i managed to POST that way: i did what cggreen told me, i put an older grphics Card that requires only one 6pin, disconnected ssd, DVD, USB and put only one Ram stick in another slot and IT WORKED! But... I put back the hardware one at a time, and it still POSTed, but once i reseated my 760, no POST anymore. So i put thé older graphics Card in back again, and it still wont POST...
Is it possible it may be the PSU causing the issues?

Yes, it seems like a PSU issue here. I think that the PSU is not able to provide the amount needed for more than 1 six pin, hence there not being a post. I think that it is providing the amount that the motherboard needs, but not enough for the GPU with the CPU overclocked. May I just ask what wattage you PSU is???

Because if you cmos it does not return it to the defaults I had to go in and reset it to default the cmos clear like releases the system safety hold like a protective stop

Ok so my psu Is a 600w Silver Power from 2009, i gues it has done its time lol. A friend of mine has à Corsair vs550 in his pc, ill try to borrow it and try it in my pc to see if it solves thé issue. @Cggreen yes by bios was back to stock settings @2.83 GHz and Anto Vcore
