at his moment this are my specs

CPU: i5 760
Mobo: Asrock P55DE3
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5800 series
Ram: 8GB

im looking for at upgrading the GPU and maybe RAM...

Question is.. can i just get an 1050 ti and fit it on my mobo? secondly can i get the GPU to run at it best potential ?

Solution

Wow, I am Singaporean too. I think I can help you out.

Use your case, PSU, and storage for now. With the current prices for GPU's, I think your best bet is to pick up a new GPU from Fuwell, maybe a 1050Ti like you said, and you can get 2nd Hand 16 gigs from Carousell too.

Your CPU will last for a bit more time until you can invest more in your PC. For now, the 1050Ti and 16 gigs will do. Yes your GPU will fit that mobo, but perform a BIOS update first just in case.
1. yes you can, as long as the mobo had PCIe slot and your PSU had enough juice, you can... although i can't say about the BIOS support of the mobo for the GPU

2. for a RX 460/1050 it's possible, but a 1050ti will most likely be bottlenecked by the CPU

so what u're saying is, i can get an rx 460/1050 to work at its best potential ? with my current build ?

your cpu is more than enough to keep up with a gtx 1050 ti, "fit" is up to your PC case

if your mobo has a pcie slot that is all that is required to install a new gpu into it

just make sure your power supply is up to the task

you may also need to make sure the motherboard bios is up to date before swapping the new gpu in

make sure your monitor has more than VGA connectors, modern cards lack this

well the 1050ti might work at its best too, depending on the resolution and the games you're playing, but the fps won't be as high as other system with better CPU

the RX 460/1050 on the other hand, should work in a much more balanced manner with your CPU imho

but sure, u can still get the 1050ti anyway and keep it around for much longer since it had more performance and VRAM

regarding VGA port that maxalge mentioned, if your monitor only had VGA output, u can still get away with a VGA-to-HDMI converter like i do
