Hi semi experienced builder here. I have this pc (link below) and it says the motherboard will accept up to 16gb ram on 64 bit system (which mine in). This pc is currently accepting 12gb of ddr3 1600. So i went to upgrade and bought this ram (link also below) and the motherboard will not read it. If i try to boot the computer with this ram by itself it beeps at me. I returned the stick and got a second one and it also does not work, which seems to rule out a bad stick. Not sure what im doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you make sure to set Dimm to 4?
9 in Bios) if you are using 4 ram sticks or Dimm to 2 if using 2?

My mobo only has 2 ram slots i tried to boot from only the new stick and it would not work. It already has 12gb inside ( 1 x 8gb and 1 x 4gb) I bought the kingston 8gb ram to replace the 4gb and bring my total ram with two sticks to 16gb
